Working Here Has Its Benefits
Take Time When You Need It
While we all work hard to get things done, we recognize the importance of work-life balance as well as the need to just time out. We offer flexible paid time off, no matter what. Feeling under the weather or have a little one on the way? We offer paid sick and parental leave, too.
Maintain Your Mental and Physical Wellness
We’re all humans first, and as a company, we prioritize the wellbeing of our employees. We offer health, dental, vision, and life insurance to keep you covered. For those in our D.C. office, we also provide access to bike room storage, the building’s gym, a private meditation room, and healthy snacks and beverages – all to help support your physical and mental health.
Give Back to Your Community, as a Community
Giving back is in our DNA, and we believe everyone should get involved. From serving at soup kitchens and sorting food donations, to planting trees and cleaning up rivers, we pair with local organizations in the community to help others while spending time as a team.
Grow As We Grow
Optoro wouldn’t be where it is today without our employees, so we want to invest in them as much as they invest in us. We offer robust stock option plans to demonstrate this commitment and have created opportunities, like our annual and monthly CRUSH Awards, to provide the opportunity for employees to gain additional options throughout the year.
Support Initiatives That Matter
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are integral to our workplace culture. Through our DEI ambassador program, representatives from each department ensure that all voices across the company are heard. We also offer affinity groups, such as the Optoro Women’s Group, to foster discussion, encourage engagement, and invoke change.
Get Rewarded for Your Dedication
To thank employees for their contributions to our growth, we have a sabbatical program for those celebrating five-year anniversaries [e.g. 5, 10, 15, etc]. This includes additional fully vested options and up to five weeks of paid leave, hoping that employees take this time to pursue interests of self-care, explore new skills, spend time with family, or just reset.
Optoro has been a fantastic place to grow in my career and stretch my skills into many different areas of the business. The people they hire are not only impressive but genuine in their compassion towards others and supportive of new ideas and creative projects.
The Values We Live By
Optoro believes in celebrating the hard work and success of team members who demonstrate our core “CRUSH” values.
The monthly CRUSH Award recognizes an employee who went above and beyond, embodying one or more of Optoro’s values to deliver exceptional results that impacted the company. Our annual Opties event rewards employees who excelled in each of these categories all year long, and spotlights individuals as the Overall Best in CRUSH, Unsung Hero, and Rookie of the Year.
