The DCFemTech Awards recognize and celebrate D.C.-based female leaders in Code, Design, and Data. The event, held on May 7th, recognized 54 women during its 4th annual reception. This year alone, over 600 women were nominated. Nominations were hand selected by a committee of more than 40 judges comprised of engineers, designers, data scientists and executives within each category. Recipients were chosen based on each woman’s impact within their respective organizations and surrounding community, as well as complexity of work. We are thrilled that our very own Jess Szmajda, Optoro’s CTO, was recognized for her accomplishments in coding!
Optoro has been a proud sponsor of the awards for the past two years and we would like to thank DCFemTech for allowing us to be a part of the evening. The awards provide a platform for many talented women in the industry to come together, celebrate accomplishments, share ideas, and network within the community.
We value our partnership with DCFemTech and are honored to stand alongside other organizations celebrating our female leaders in technology. We look forward to continuing our partnership into 2019.
